I'm having problems getting mencoder to encode progressive NTSC MPEG2 video.
I used the following command line:
Code: | mencoder -oac copy -ovc lavc -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd:tsaf:vaspect=16/9:telecine -vf scale=720:480,harddup -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vrc_buf_size=1835:vrc_maxrate=9800:vbitrate=5000:keyint=15:vstrict=0:aspect=16/9 -ofps 24000/1001 -aid 128 -channels 6 -o movie.mpeg movie.vob |
This resulted in the following error:
Quote: | videocodec: libavcodec (720x480 fourcc=3267706d [mpg2])
[mpeg2video @ 0x87aed70]MPEG1/2 does not support 31001/1293 fps
Could not open codec. |
The only reference I can find for this error is at: http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mencoder-users/2008-February/008040.html
It suggests that MEncoder dev-SVN-r24764-4.2.1-sjlj does not have this problem. The highest version in portage is currently: mplayer-1.0_rc2_p25993-r1. I have mplayer-1.0_rc2_p25993 installed. mplayer reports it's version is: MEncoder dev-SVN-rUNKNOWN-4.1.2.
I couldn't find a bug report at bugs.gentoo.org. Is there a Gentoo solution to this bug? Should I file a bug report with Gentoo? |
