emul-linux-x86-soundlibs, will not work with the latest ~ alsa packages, basically it takes over all sound output, and will not mix with native alsa.
i have not been able to find a workaround. Even downgrading alsa (and even to a .23 kernel) did not work for me. then i found this bug https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208796 which has been open for a while, and it looks like i'll have to wait for it to be resolved.
the thing is: it makes my install feel like a bit of a hobby project instead of a usable system and i find myself spending a lot of time in my previously unused xp dualboot.
so, pretty please, someone please have a look at this, i'd be very grateful. |
