Allora... Ho raccattato un monitor LCD e vorei usarlo come secondo schermo sulla mia matrox g550. Ho cercato un po' in giro ma non ho trovato nulla di utile, non so proprio da che parte cominciare.
Attualmente collegando il secondo schermo la visuale e' ovviamente schiacciata visto che le frequenze di refresh utilizzate sono quelle dello schermo 1, il problema principale sarebbe appunto specificare frequenze diverse per i due monitor. Qualcuno ha esperienze di dual-screen e sarebbe cosi' gentile da postarmi il suo XF86Config?

Mi ricordo che con la mia vecchia G400 MAX avevo una serie di utility "by matrox" che gestivano la scheda e se non ricordo male anche il dual-head. Al momento non ricordo come si chiamassero (le usavo con debian), in portage l'unica cosa che si avvicina sono le "media-video/matroxset", magari dacci un'occhiata. Tienici informato che potrebbe interessarmi (la G400 va ancora alla grande ) _________________ Se per vivere ti dicono "siediti e stai zitto" tu alzati e muori combattendo |

Nella sezione "Graphics device" definisci giustamente le due head con "g550_1" e "g550_2" a cui associ, altrettanto giustamente, gli "Screen 0" e "Screen 1". Visto anche che la tua scheda è una dual head e che il numero degli Screen deve essere sempre compreso tra 0 e "n°_uscite -1", non capisco come mai nella sezione "Screen Device" hai definito Screen 1 e 2........
