Hi!
I'm currently trying to get my WLAN working while installing gentoo. I've got a zd1211-chip and am using wpa_supplicant now. It seems to work, too, but connects and disconnects all the time if I understand this correctly. In wpa_gui the status switches between SCANNING, 4WAY_HANDSHAKE and DISCONNECTED. ping doesn't work, neither with my router's IP nor with something like www.google.com.
I appreciate your help,
Chris
Edit: My router says that the machine I'm trying to connect is giving the wrong key. I've double- and triplechecked that I've written it into /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf correclty, so I can't see where the problem is. But it seems to affect the other machines in the network, too. My notebook is now also constantly reconnecting (with more success though, luckily). I really hope that someone can help me here. |
