When trying to run GUI programs as a super user, either with KDEsu or just straight up su->run program, I cannot connect. Here's some console output, first using kdesu as a regular user, then trying to run a different app, VirtualBox, as root (works as normal user):
Code: | aaron@ ~ $ kdesu kuser
xauth: (argv):1: bad display name ":0.0" in "list" command
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info set for display :0.0

xauth: (argv):1: bad display name ":0.0" in "list" command
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info set for display :0.0
aaron # VirtualBox
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
Qt WARNING: VirtualBox: cannot connect to X server :0.0

You can install 'sux' and then type sux instead of su. |
