Bonjour,
je cherche les patchs qui sont utilisé dans le noyau xfs ou d'autre (ex : ac-sources).
Mon pb c que je voudrai utilisé certain noyau mais ils n'ont pas le support pour le controleur hpt 374, ils s'arretent au hpt 372 !!
ou puis-je trouvé ces patchs ??

J'ai trouvé une @ :ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/ mais le seul pb c que je c pas quel patch prendre ??
J'ai besoin du support hpt374 du xfs et du bootsplash pour un kernel vanilla-source 2.4.23

pour le patch xfs oui la meacoulpa g oublié  ,
pour le boot splash as-tu qqe part un patch pour 2.4.23 ??
et pour le drivers hpt374 je c meme pas quel patch utilisé ?? |

Desoler broly perso j'utile encore un 2.4.20 gaming et jutilise le patch fourni avec le paquet bootsplash.
pour le diver hpt374 je cherche

Et par le fait que le patch bootsplash est deja inclus (pour le 2.4.20 evidement) je ne vois pas bien comment t'aider
Mais une question : Ces patchs ne sont ils pas compatibles avec toute les versions 2.4 ?(au moins les plus recentes)

| certain !! le truc c qu'il s'appel pareil mais c seulement lorsque tu regarde l'aide qu'il te dit qu'il supporte le hpt 37x et non plus le hp360 et hpt 370 |

J'ai trouvé !! Il faut utilisé le patch d'alan cox pour le support hpt 374 par contre ce que je m'explique pas c qu'il fontionne dans le xfs-sources ??
Et j'ai essayé le patch bootsplash pour le 2.4.22 sur le 2.4.23 ca marche impec !!

Ah oui un truc qui n'a presque rien a voir : j'utilise patch -p1 pour patcher mon kernel mais en faite je c pas trop quelle difference il y a entre -p0 ??? |

Dans la page de man ya ca :

slashes is counted as a single slash. This controls how file names found in the patch file are treated, in case you keep your files in a

setting -p0 gives the entire file name unmodified, -p1 gives
u/howard/src/blurfl/blurfl.c
without the leading slash, -p4 gives
blurfl/blurfl.c
and not specifying -p at all just gives you blurfl.c. Whatever you end up with is looked for either in the current directory, or the direc-
tory specified by the -d option.
