hello, ok have got this system upgraded and working but think i have missed a kernel option?
In previous post i gave output of /proc/cpu using gentoo boot cd which shows 4 cpus, but now i have system running and do the same i only see 2 cpus in output?
I have smp set, as is hyper threading and cpu amount is set to 4, so whay am i missing that i now only see 2 cpus?

You can set the maximum number of CPUs (=cores) supported in your kernel.
Search for CONFIG_NR_CPUS in menuconfig. |

Do you have ACPI enabled ?
I think this is needed for hyperthreading. |
