|
|
hey guys..
im running fluxbox as a windows manager
i used the following USE flags when i emerged it:
USE="-gtk -gnome -qt3 -qt4 -kde X"
I now want to use pidgin...
i emerged it but when i run it i get a text based client...
I would like a GUI front end...
I tried emerging GTK+ with :
USE="gtk X"
as flags but was not successful...
how could i accomplish this? Did i have to compile fluxbox with GTK un order to run any applications that use GTK in order to have the GUI front end?
Thanks in advance guys |

u might need to recompile the whole thing for the new flags to take effect
Code: | emerge -avuDN world |

USE="-gtk" for pidgin disables building the graphical interface (i.e. Pidgin itself)
You will need to compile Pidgin with the gtk use flag enabled. Either enable it globally or add it to package.use |
