Does anyone know of any documentation dealing with Totem's plugins?
I'm trying to get it to play a DVD, and all I can get out of it is that a plugin
is missing - no mention anywhere, even in the debugging output, of which
plugin or where. And the documentation for Totem is minimal, and for
plugins non-existent.

What about adding the USE=\"dvd\" flag?
I find the ffmpeg flag is useful too and nsplugin is handy for in-browser viewing of videos...
Code: |
echo \'media-video/totem dvd ffmpeg nsplugin\' >> /etc/portage/package.use
emerge -av totem

The answer seems to be that totem needs gst-plugins-bad, and by default pulls in only
the gst-base, good, and ugly packages. Once I'd added pretty much every gst-plugin
package available it worked.
