I'm trying hard to find the RTL8139 entry in menuconfig and not seeing it. What do I have to enable for it to show up? I'm talking about the 8139cp module. _________________ Git has obsoleted SVN.
10mm Auto has obsoleted 45 ACP.

in Device Drivers -> Network Device support -> Ethernet (10 or 100 Mbit)
you should enable
[*] EISA, VLB, PCI onboard controllers.
Then it gives a list including Realtek-8139 C+ PCI Fast .... |

Solved! Now let's see if I can get this VPS to boot with a new kernel. _________________ Git has obsoleted SVN.
