Hi!

I'm currently using Squid on my box, and I would like to enable the SNMP support. How do I do this, with the absolute minimum of DIY? 8)

Yup, but how do I implement this '--enable-snmp' in my 'emerge squid'? :?

Good tip! 8)

But... I've done some editing in that file now. Is there something like 'emerge rebuild squid'? 8O

8O just do emerge squid (i think)

maybe you have to to something like building new digests for the ebuild

just search the forums for ebuild/digest

sure, but copying your squid.conf to a save place before the emerge should do the trick, shouldn't it?

Hmm, just adding '--enable-snmp' to the latest ebuild did NOT do the trick, unfortunately...

What else do I need to modify to get squid to compile with SNMP? :?:

Just wondering, since this topic has not been updated for some moths now .... did anyone ever get this working on gentoo ?
I tried it also (and verified that my USE flags include snmp); but to no avail :(
