You might like tightvnc instead. I use it and fluxbox.
#emerge tightvnc fluxbox
#echo "exec fluxbox" >| ~/.xinitrc
#vncserver -depth 24 -geometry 800x600
Then just vnc away. I am writing this right now in a vnc session through Opera!

this was caused by me unmerging linux-headers, as i though it would be incompatible with gentoo-sources.
vnc worx fine now. |
