Does anyone else have any trouble with vpnc dropping the connection (in fact the process just silently drops without any notice) every few minutes of connection time? I do! Has anyone solved this? I've followed the official guide but to no avail as the process dies so regularly I cannot work at all remotely.

Add --dpd-idle=0 to your commandline. It will disable the dead peer detection which is probably dropping your connection after about a minute of being idle. |
