I waited a while before system updates, now my console output repeatedly will get garbled. It seems to happen more often when using GNU Screen or an ncurses app, sometimes after resizing the window. Lines get drawn in the wrong place, don't get cleared, etc. Any suggestions? Using unstable nvidia-drivers, could that be causing it? |

Not sure what the cause is, more information about when it happens might give a clue.
I use latest nvidia and don't have any problems. |

Well, good to know that it isn't the nvidia drivers. I am seeing this on both my working machines.
Here is a screenshot, but there is no 'typical screwup'

The status line from my GNU Screen session will sometimes disappear, sometimes get printed out repeatedly. When hitting Control+C, the signal does not seem to be getting passed to the programs. |

Unfortunately all I can say is: "Wierd". Haven't seen it before. Could ofc still be the nvidia drivers, but I'm using the unstable ones on 3 x86 boxes, 2 with stable Xorg-server and one unstable. Works fine. |

Hmm, problem seems to only occur in rxvt-unicode, not in konsole... |

I lie -- not as bad in konsole, but still occurs.
I found that with bash-completion upgrade, I had to put
[[ -f /etc/profile.d/bash-completion ]] && source /etc/profile.d/bash-completion
in ~/.bashrc, but that didn't seem to fix it. |
