I'm trying to add my printer to the gentoo box using webmin. Apart from using it as a local printer, I want to share it out over Samba. When I try and save it, I get the error message:

Code:

Failed to save printer : lpadmin failed
lpadmin: Unable to connect to server: Connection refused

I'm not sure exactly what's happening here. Any advice?

I think you forgot to start the 'lpd' daemon (/etc/init.d/lpd start).
