|
|
Hi,
Simple question really; is it possible, using either smbmount or smbclient, to connect/mount to a windows share more than one level deep in a tree?
e.g. //server/toplevel/secondlevel rather than //server/toplevel
My central IT dept shares our userspaces using the first rather than the second syntax. When I try to smbclient to my homedir I get a "tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME"
Anyone else run into this?
Thanks! |

AFAIK no - you can only mount the shares, not the directories below them. So if you share \\server\foo, you can't mount \\server\foo\bar.
