|

I've installed some plasmoids. Ok, great. {pats self on back} Whoops, apparently something messed up and I now have some duplicate entries in the plasmoids list. Is there a way to delete these from the system itself without tracking down each and every file included in a plasmoid? (Some are google-gadgets) When I searched, the only things I could come up with are ways of removing them from the desktop, not deleting them altogether.

The entries are generated from .desktop files. For example, on my system (Kubuntu), /usr/share/kde4/services/plasma-wifi-signal-default.desktop has type X-KDE-ServiceTypes=Plasma/Applet and provides the WiFi Signal Strength Meter entry. Deleting the file would remove the entry. _________________ KDE |

Thanks. When I did a search for one of them I found that it's more than just the .desktop entry, though. yaWP has a linked library that it uses as well (which I removed) It does seem that removing the .desktop file removed it from the list (just not from the computer) |
