Hi everyone... I'm looking to encrypt a volume (/home) and have it set up so that the key is on a USB drive, therefore the volume won't mount unless the USB drive is attached. What's the best software/config to do this, or does anyone have any how-to's?

Thanks!
PS - Hoping this is in the right forum...

Also take a look at loop-aes. At one time, loop-aes was said to be safer than other schemes, but I don't know if that's valid now, or even back then.

I'd go with cryptsetup and just create a small script in /etc/conf.d/local.start saying: "if pendrive mounted, decrypt + mount HDD, else grab me a beer :)"
