kdelibs 3.5.10 failed to build on me - here is the build log:

Anyone know how to fix it? _________________ Registered Linux User: 437619

Did you use the correct stage3?
Your build.log is looking for 64bits Quote: | checking for x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc... x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc |
but your emerge --info is set up for 32bits Quote: | CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"

I thought I used the x86 stage3 I normally use... so I guess I need to re-install or is there a way around this? _________________ Registered Linux User: 437619

I'm not sure Thaidog, because if you did in fact use a 64bits stage3 and set your CHOST for 32bits, then there is no way you could have gotten as far as you are. Something weird is going on in your box and I have no idea what it could be.
Your gcc is i686, your CHOST is i686, yet kdelibs is looking for x86_64. That is indeed strange.
If this is a new installation, then it may be better (and easier) to just reformat your partition and start over. If it's an established installation, then a little more digging may be wiser.
Just a thought, try Code: | env-update && source /etc/profile |

There is always something weird going on with this box since I was fixing a friend's computer and got a nasty hardware virus. I don't thik that is this becase it only acts up on windows but who knows.. I will try that update and if it does not work I'll download a P4 funtoo build tomorrow and go from scratch. _________________ Registered Linux User: 437619
