HP ScanJet G3110

With my HP PhotoSmart C3180 dying, I need to get a new scanner. I've been using the hplip/hpaio driver with it, even though it's listed as not supported by SANE.

Google doesn't seem to be of good help with respect to driver support of the HP ScanJet G3110. SANE lists it as partially supported, but does hplip/hpaio support it at all? It seems silly to discount its scanning abilities when it only lacks printing abilities.
