about dev-lang/gnat-gcc/gnat-gcc-4.3.2

Code:

SRC_URI="ftp://gcc.gnu.org/pub/gcc/releases/gcc-${PV}/gcc-core-${PV}.tar.bz2
        ftp://gcc.gnu.org/pub/gcc/releases/gcc-${PV}/gcc-ada-${PV}.tar.bz2
        ppc?   ( mirror://gentoo/gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-ppc.tar.bz2 )
        x86?   ( mirror://gentoo/gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-i386.tar.bz2 )
        amd64? ( mirror://gentoo/gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-amd64.tar.bz2 )"

it seems ADA::dev-lang/gnat-gcc has been tested only on {ppc, x86, amd64}
anybody has experienced it on {mips,hppa,arm} ?

and what about "gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-$ARCH.tar.bz2" ?

it seems to me that Ada can not beincluded in the Gcc-4.3 --enable-languages
(for ex --enable-languages=c,c++,java,objc,obj-c++,fortran)
'cause it can't be bootstrapped from gcc alone

that means the following (which is missing in the gentoo portage tree) is required
gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-arm.tar.bz2
gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-mips.tar.bz2
gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-hppa.tar.bz2

gnat-gcc requires a working ADA compiler to build.
so, is it really impossible to have ADA on {mips, arm, hppa} ?

anybody know a pretty "bootstrap" for these arcs ?

How'd you do that then? I'm interested in Ada for PA-RISC (hppa) so if there's a general recipe for building a gnat bootstrap for a given arch I'd be interested to see it..

Cheers
Tom
