For some reason, my system time is always behind about a half hour (which has a tendency to really screw me up)
I've tried several times to use date to correct the time, and I've tried using KDE's clock dialog, but everytime I reboot, it's half an hour off again. It says it's syncing the hardware whenever I shutdown. Any ideas? |

Try setting the hardware clock to your system time.

Check your timezone and check your clock settings(UTC or Local). also ... date will show the system clock, hwclock will show the cmos clock. you might need to synce them. If all else fails find a time server and use ntpdate to set your time or setup an ntp client on your system. _________________ Tyan tiger K8W, Opteron 2x246, 2x512 PC3200 OCZ, FX5900 |
