I tried http://ck.kolivas.org/patches/bfs/2.6.34-sched-bfs-318.patch and it works fine.

ck1 for 2.6.34 is also out now http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/ck/patches/2.6/2.6.34/2.6.34-ck1 and will try soon, but I'm having problems with X crashing randomly with konqueror, konsole, firefox, LXTerminal, and a few others- kicks me back to kdm. :? Same problem on Arch testing, and it seems related to xorg-server-1.8.1. -1.8.1-r1 didn't help. At first I thought it was kernel related, but it happens on different kernels.

Oh weird, I got the same thing and thought it wasn't related as I also upgraded a few other packages. I got similar crashes a while ago too, after updating xorg-server-9999 (from a previous 9999.) Back then, downgrading to 1.8 fixed it. Today, after upgrading to zen-sources-2.6.34-rc7 (from rc6) I got the same thing. Anyway, not sure if we're hitting the same bug because my crashes are not random at all as I can reproduce them reliably. In my case, disabling compositing fixes it.

[Edit: as I thought, my crashes might be different as rebooting under rc6 didn't fix them. Anyway, try disabling compositing to see if it's related]

How can I enable Aufs2? I can't find it in kernel config. I thought it could be Aufs but when I try to emerge aufs2 it fails and says I have to apply aufs2 patch.

AUFS is currently unavailable. You may take a look at mhddfs as a replacement.

mhddfs isn't a replacement (in my case) because doesn't work with read-only filesystems :( (you can't edit/delete files in the merged filesystem)

Long shot, but is there any possibility we can get the transparent hugepages patchset? (Faster GCC? Do want.)

Hi,

I am trying to enable console decoration but so far I failed. I can not find the "Support for the Framebuffer Console Decorations" support and adding the FB_DECOR or something like that option directly in .config does not help. I am not using initramfs/initrd, is it the problem? I see the splash, but not the console background.

There is way too much silence around so I suspect that this project can be considered inactive. I switched back to gentoo-sources-2.6.34 for now

I don't know the age range of the devs for the zen-soruces project, but this is the time of year for college finals. Also the irc channel (#zen-sources on Rizon) remains active with conversation from the devs though I've been too busy to see what they're talking about.
