WarCraft III - "Can't Find CD Key"

when i run WarCraft III - Frozen Throne like this:

wine War3.exe -- -opengl

Everything is ok,no error.

But WarCraft III tell me that:
Warcraft III can't find CD Key. Please reinstall Warcraft III from CD-ROM.

I have try the installed files in windows, it can run.
but in wine, just get the error message above.

Does anyone get this problem?

I have crack it.

it works fine in Windows, but can't find CD Key in wine.

PS. It is the same file, i copy from Windows.

Please have a look at the sticky thread in the forum and avoid discussing/asking for game cracks, even if you own the game.

try to run it as the user you installed it - in my case i cant run it as root but as my normal user

i this does not help i think you need some dlls of win98

you will need to reinstall warcraft III in linux so the registry settings get stored correctly, that worked for me
