Posted: Wed Jun 30, 2010 12:48 am Post subject: Flash 10.1 video is choppy. |
|
|
I am running www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.1.53.64 on an amd64 system.
The video reproduction, since approximately the time I upgraded, is very choppy; as if it is only updating a few times per second. It is almost unwatchable, although the audio is fine.
I thought that my kernel (2.6.33-gentoo-r2) setting was for a low latency setting.
Any ideas on what could be causing this problem?

Not sure what it is, but I have the same problem on the same platform only no sound. Just about everything you've printed seems to apply to my system though. |

I eventually rebuilt my system and turned off minimum size kernel. I don't know whether that did it but it seems a bit better. |

I downgraded my AMD64 systems, when Adobe Flash 10.1 came out, so my wife could watch CNN and such
sites. On her laptop Flash frequently ends up end an endless loop of
repeating a short sound segment over and over forever.

Wife is not happy, any suggestions, related
to fixing the laptop?

I had the same problem upon upgrading to flash-10.1. For some reason hardware acceleration is enabled by default in version 10.1. Turning off hardware acceleration in the flashplayer preferences seems to have made the video playback run smoother. |

Hello,
I have the similar problem. When trying to watch any video (for example nhl.com) in 64-bit mozilla-firefox of 64-bit chromium-browser, the video player loads, loads and loads. I can't watch a video at all. I've updated nspluginwrapper till 1.3.0 version but it didn't help. _________________ You deserve free software! |

I've ran
Code: | nspluginwrapper -v -a -i |
and have restarted a browser. It works now _________________ You deserve free software! |
