why did you move my Post on DRI?
Steps for enabling dri.
that is really annoying.. it has nothing to do with Desktop Environments!
I couldnt find it..

Your thread about DRI had to do with X, and therefore fell under the guidelines of the Desktop Environments forum:

| As rac mentions above, the Destop Environments forum pertains to: "XFree and everything that runs in it; from window managers to applications..." DRI clearly falls under this category. Finding moved threads is a bit of a pain, but it makes it easier to find things when they are in the right forum... |

You can follow all threads you have posted to by following the "View your posts" link on the Gentoo forums main page. This will work regardless of where your thread has moved.
Additionally, posting in the right forum in the first place also helps  . |

It's the (thankless) job of a moderator to keep things on-topic and flowing smoothly. That means we move posts when we think the topic is more appropriate in another forum.
You may not agree with that decision, which is fine -- life is about choices and we all make different ones. I suggest next time you send the mod a private message politely raising the issue with them rather than posting an OT message to the wrong forum.

Another way to do this is to use the ability of the Search feature to limit results by poster. For example, searching for posts containing "dri" by "dcstimm" brings up exactly two results for me - that thread and this one.
I find this tactic extremely helpful when I'm trying to find references to things I only remember as "delta407's install cd bailout", "Naan Yaar's undepended package checking script", "phong's bootdisk howto", etc.
