I am trying to make the backlight adjustment work in my laptop. But i don't know I can achieve this.
My kernel settings are:

CONFIG_BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE=y

# CONFIG_BACKLIGHT_PROGEAR is not set
# CONFIG_BACKLIGHT_MBP_NVIDIA is not set
# CONFIG_BACKLIGHT_SAHARA is not set
# CONFIG_BACKLIGHT_ADP8860 is not set
# CONFIG_LEDS_TRIGGER_BACKLIGHT is not set

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

Yes, indeed. It is a (Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.) MSI-1034.
