|
|
Hi!
Since KDE 3.x there were pretty nice thing like a list of all active windows, popping out on a key combo like Alt-F5 (or Ctrl-F5) I don't remember exactly. So, binding this combo to a dedicated mouse button (its a very good idea since many buttoned mice like Logitech MX1000/Revolution and others are available) made a menu, listing all active windows, popup right under pointer, making switching between running applications very fast and comfortable. But I have no clue how to make this in 4.x. Searching through systemsettings and desktop config gave nothing. Can anybody help to figure out how to get it working back again. |

You mean the Alt-F3 maybe? Brings up the generic Window menu (like Alt-Space in Windows does iirc). _________________ stop tcpa, swpatents, corrupt politicians and other scary stuff |

So here writing from work:
you can find it in the Control Center (Settings manager); tree view here
Computer Administration -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Global Keyb. Shortcuts
select for KDE Component from the drop down list KWin
scroll drown til you see "window operations menu", default Alt-F3. _________________ stop tcpa, swpatents, corrupt politicians and other scary stuff |

he means something different - you are talking about the window context menu, he wants a list of all running windows. (i remember that option from kde3.5)
I'll have a look, when I am back home, at my linux system. |

Ah sorry. But that was integrated in KDE3, not a helper application? _________________ stop tcpa, swpatents, corrupt politicians and other scary stuff |
