Hi,

I'm curious to find out if I can use 2 identical wireless bluetooth keyboards on the same machine, by the same user, simultaneously.

The problem is, of course, that if I buy two keyboards to try it out and it doesn't work, then I'm stuck with two keyboards.

Has anyone tried this? I've noticed that with 2 usb keyboards it seems to work fine.

BTW, the reason for this is to have a split keyboard.

I've been buying USB split keyboards, like the Kinesis FreeStyle. Only thing is, that's extremely expensive compared to most keyboards, and I want it to be wireless.

What I would like to do is have one keyboard for each hand, separated by a significant distance. Hopefully it will ignore the fact of 2 keyboards and behave as though there is only one keyboard.

Thanks.

FWIW I tried it with 2 wireless mice, and it worked fine.

Might be worth a try.

OK I have an answer to this, but it's not a happy one.

I stuck two bluetooth keyboards onto the same box, and while both of them worked as they normally would they did not "merge" so that holding shift on one side and a letter on the other would produce an upper-case letter.

You can't imagine how disappointing this is to me.
