|
|
Hey there. I'm using xfce and whenever I start my computer I have some unwanted programs that start up as well. They're not in my start application autostart so I'm not sure why they're starting. Pidgin and Transmission are the programs.

Some apps have session support; I believe pidgin and new versions of transmission are among them. So, if you have "Automatically save session on logout" checked in the XFCE "Session and startup" preferences, and these apps are running when you log out, they will restart when you log back in.
If this is not the case, then something weird is going on -- have to dig around and see what script is starting these apps. _________________ Personal overlay | Simple backup scheme |

I think I just saw this on #xfce IRC.
Exit xfce, then:
rm ~/.cache/sessions/* |
