The only apm functions I know of are standby and suspend... But I just heard about actually keeping an image of your current session in Linux on your hard drive. How do I use this? _________________ old outdated sig |

then you have to get the swsusp kernel patch from sourceforge. in grub you have to add resume=/dev/hdxx. replace hdxx with your actual swap partition, like hda2. but don't expect to much. it is still buggy. |
