Hi I'm using Gentoo (~amd64) and I just updated yesterday to gnome3.2.1.
Also net-tools was updated and it installed something called "migrate-run" and after upgrading I did etc-update and revdep-rebuild and emerge --depclean. The thing is that now when I boot my computer it freezes for 15min more or less during the init processes screen and I just got warning messages about some init processes waiting for "migrate-run" or for "modules" or for another proccess...

I can't find anything on google about that and after 15mins the computer boots as usual.

Can anyone halp me?

Edit: If if disable parallel boot, it boots without problems

same problem here 2 sort of (not using gnome tho, updated 2 3.x n nothing worked right, with hdmi plugged in it just loaded a desktop wallpaper n nothing else, unplugged hdmi n gnome sort of worked apart from no activities, so that had to go), nice update huh :P think the problem is openrc related by way, unless i still have some remnants of the gnome3 install left over.....

Same thing happened here; same solution works.

I shouldn't even have gnome (I actually set -gnome in my make.conf). How do I figure out which package installed it? "equery depends gnome" yields no results.

emerge --pretend --verbose --depclean $(eix -I --only-names -\( gnome-base/ -o gnome-extra/ -\) )

Disabling rc_parallel works for me too. No gnome on make.conf

Same problem, I just did a 'rc-update del migrate-run boot'. 'equery belongs /etc/init.d/migrate-run' reports the service is a part of openrc.

Looks like openrc-0.9.6 was taken out of the portage tree today, I would assume this is why... well at least disabling parallel booting worked to fix it for me as well.

sysresc stick to the rescue, chroot, downgrade to openrc-0.9.4. less than 5 minutes spent on this but still a bit annoying especially since that happened the last couple of openrc updates
