|
|
Hello,
the stick (MF190 from ZTE) finds a network
AT+COPS?
+COPS: 0,0,"Vodafone.de",0
with the operational mode set to
0,0,0 (Auto)
. When I set the operational mode to
2,0,0 (3G Only)
(with AT+ZSNT=2,0,0)
, it finds no network:
AT+COPS?
+COPS: 0
. This is strange because under Windows 7 it finds networks for both GPRS and UMTS (3G).
What could be the problem?
I'm using wvdial, same situation with NetworkManager (no UMTS).
My kernel version is
3.3.1-gentoo
.
Regards,
Markus |

Perhaps Windows and Linux have different threshold values for 3G network signal strength. Is the connection under windows good? How many bars?

This might be the reason, the Windows software shows one bar for UMTS and five bars for GPRS. Maybe there is a command to get/set the threshold? |
