|
|
Hi,
there are two version of the LCD7 cape for the Beaglebone:
The one I am talking about here has for simple vertical "legs",
which are screwed into the PCB.
Today I entered a hardware store to buy screws to it into
the end of these legs -- but no fitting one was found...
What kind of screws are used there?
What is the technical name of them?
Thank you very much for any help in advance!
Best regards,

Hi,
in the meanwhile I got an answer from Hieu Duong.
He said, that these screws/threads used with the
standoffs are UNC 4-40.
For all, who have limited access to british/american
screws, which are inch based in opposite to metric
threads:
The screws user to attach a D-SUB plug to the jack
are also UNC 4-40 as the screws are, which in turn
attach this jack to the case.
These screws can be used for further experimenting
and attaching for example a buttom plate to the
standoffs of the LCD7 for the beaglebone.
HTH!
Best regards,

Hi turtles,
thank you very much for you reply and your offer!
....but I am living in Germany and sending a few
screws worldwide would exceed the value of the
screws several times.... :)
Thanks again for your friendly offer of help!
Have a nice weekend!
Best regards,
