[SOLVED]Wheezing sound over hdmi.[SOLVED]

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my pc sound over hdmi... When I play a html5 video or flash video on chromium ( firefox works well), the video sound on my tv begin wheezing and after 2 min e 25 sec the wheezing sound stops and works fine.

Can someone help me?

I have two suggestions:

1. start Chrome or Firefox from a terminal emulator and see if it spits out any output about the sound.

2. Do you have a way to capture that sound? Maybe if someone hears it, it can be identified.

Well if your completely sure there is no issue with the output device (TV/monitor/cable/video card) and also there
is no issues with firefox.. I would first check your compile flags for chromium and dependent libraries making
sure there is nothing aggressive. Also try enabling/disabling acceleration in flash. Try upgrading flash to most
recent version if you have not already done so, same for chromium, and also update your video driver. You can also
run in debug mode to see if you can capture any useful output. Also understanding what type/version of flash is
running on both firefox & chromium.. might help you narrow down the issue.

I see no errors that stand out as being the problem, majority of those errors can be overlooked like the font error etc.
What does your CPU usage look like when this problem happens with the static sound?

Can you post the following information..

Current pepperflash version is 11.9.900.117 give that a try, there is also a newer version of chromium available.
Use the pepperflash version not the old 11.2 version.. it's outdated and only security updates will be released for it, no bug fixes.

I'm not a ATi user but your problem may lie in your video driver.. if none of the above updates fix the issue.

Thanks for the answers... but now I realized that firefox's videos are playing with the same wheezing sound. Some videos the wheezing sound not happens, other the sound works fine, other videos the sound is wheezing for a moment and others videos this sound not stops.

I'll try to update my applications and see what happens!

You also might try increasing your pcm buffer size for your hdmi digital out and enabling VDPAU support.. not sure if it
would have any affect but you can give it a try. It would be also helpful if you had more devices to test like another TV/hdmi cable.

I changed CONFIG_SND_HDA_PREALLOC_SIZE from 64 to 2048 and now my sound works.
