Ciao a tutti...
..ho un problema con la mia penna USB:
trova il dispositivo, ha i moduli necessari.. é aggiunto correttamente in fstab ma...
mi dice: You must specify a filesystem
..o qualcosa del genere... allorché.. da brav bravino edito il fstab e segno FAT16 (trovato con cfdisk sulla pennina) alla riga corrispondente MA...
mi dice: FAT16 fs is not supported by the kernel (eppure io avevo messo come modulo il supporto a ogni fs FAT...).
E lo stesso giochino si ripete sia segnando FAT sia FAT32 sull' fstab.. non so bene che fare...
Any idea?

Basta che nello fstab alla "voce" Filesystem ci metti vfat e dovrebbe funzionare...almeno a me ha funzionato l'altro giorno...

Penso sia dovuto al fatto che per linux fat16 o fat32 poco importa...li considera entrambi vfat, che non e' un filesystem reale...solo una semplificazione.

ciao anche a me e' bastato fare il mount
mount /dev/sda /mnt/pen/
Rispetto alla tua situazione forse c'e' abilitato anche USB device filesystem

Io ho tagliato la testa al bill e ho messo auto nel fstab... vabbé, devo dire che giravano dischi zip (uso le stesse impostazioni sia per lo zip usb che per la pennina) formattati per mac

Io non uso /dev/sda, ma ho aggiunto questa riga a /etc/fstab: | Code: | | /dev/discs/disc1/part4 /mnt/pen auto noauto,user 0 0 |
Però la directory /dev/discs viene aggiornata dinamicamente - come è ovvio per l'usb - non so se dal sw usb del kernel o dal demone usbd di cui ho fatto l'emerge in tempi preistorici. Uso part4 perché montando direttamente il disco vedo la rappresentazione interna dei dati sull'usb-storage filesystem, sul quale il FAT credo sia simulato. Ah, ovviamente in disc0 c'è l'hard disk.
