|
|
The only live stream option to watch the 2014 Tour de France is NBC Sports for $30. Same as
in previous years.
It relies on flash.
Neither flash player (11.2 on firefox, or 14 in chrome-binary-plugins) seems to work.
On firefox the app loads, then maxes the network connection for a few seconds, then resets.
On chrome the app loads, then does nothing while displaying its loading symbol.
Out of luck? We seem to have gone backwards in our ability to view video on linux.
Crap.

Funny, when I saw the title of your post, at first I thought it was spam
I'm seeing the same as you are on chrome (I don't use firefox, don't have it installed).
When I try (google-chrome-stable) from command line, I see this :
Code: | [WARNING:flash/platform/pepper/pep_module.cpp(63)] SANDBOXED

Update:
Rebooted to Windows, where the same situation! Neither the Firefox nor the Chrome players work, but
under Internet Explorer, it works. Just some minor freezes. I don't want to reboot into Windows each time,
that's for sure. Unless Vmware comes through for me, I doubt I'm going to be watching the Tour
on Linux. |
