|
|
I've updated my system(around 160 packages) and as soon as I rebooted I found most of my xfce & thunar icons missing
here are my use flags:
[ebuild R ] xfce-base/thunar-1.6.3 USE="dbus libnotify startup-notification udisks -debug -exif -pcre {-test}" XFCE_PLUGINS="trash" 0 kB
haven't changed them during the update, I might have changed some other packages, I don't remember which ones though
thanks |

Hi,
I faced same problem. Don't know which update caused this. Whichever package provides /usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/places/ does not provide folder.svg anymore. You can install alternative icon theme and select it in the xfce icons settings.

hmm I would prefer the gnome icons but if there is no other solution, what are the most similar icon theme packages? |

If you like green you might like the Mint icon package. It's not in portage but you can just download it and untar the tarball at ~/.icons or /usr/share/icons (for global), then set it using lxappearance or the xfce control center.
EDITED: it seems there are unofficial ebuilds for this, I haven't tested them though:

this theme is fine for the time being, it looks nice but I'm a person of habit, so I'll keep working on getting those icons back |
