Read and edit /etc/X11/XF86Config.
REALLY read it - the driver and screen definitions are in there. |

Since the fact you live nearby,.. I will ask my question in dutch:
(EE) VGA(0): Virtual height (0) is too small for the hardware (min 1)
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration
Fatal server error:
no screens found
Dank U |

That simply means that X is not configured correctly.
Take a look at the gentoo desktop guide for help on how to configure it:
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/desktop.xml
Have fun!
Edit: Oooops! Here's the dutch version:

Precies wattie zegt:
Device = "Nvidia"

I had this problem when X was configured perfectly right.
After
# emerge nvidia-glx
it worked great.
Only if X is configured though. |
