After upgrade my gentoo to AMD64 (previous was on 32bits) based on livedvd, strange problems occurs on X. I must use startx instead xdm/kdm cause this problems.
The main problem is whole kde disconnects from server, so no program can be started. This happens randomly but i've noticed more often after suspend. Tryed to rollback to stable xorg-server/xf86-video-intel but multiple blocks or missing useflags appears (DRI1 lost?). My system is still usable but restart X is annoying.
PS: I've noticed kernel panics on HDMI connect-disconnect also

Hi, vibrion!
Are you sure that you need support for so many videocards? Post please lspci -k ouput here.
I suppose intel and i965 is enough for your system.
Can you post Xorg.0.log and maybe dmesg and emerge -pv x11-base/xorg-server x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel?

I've tried different combinations of video drivers with/without i965 or vesa, but problem persists. Later when i have acces to LCD with HDMI input i'll post kernel panic also.

What exactly do you mean by that ?
Such arch switch means pretty much "reinstall from scratch".

Need to return to it, but I had to mask x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.99.917 on my circa 2008 laptop - it was just freezing. I did not investigate the problem, it is a machine needed for work, so just downgraded to previous stable version

Obvious, but im lazy i made a (wrong) decission: use LiveDVD and start from there (no mimimal :(). Even with latest kernel 4.01 (genkernel) the problem persists.
