Hello,

My search was unsuccessful : does someone know with FUSE use flag is masked on ARM ?
I find in arm profile it is indicated as "Things we don't want" ... but why ?
Any instabilities ? risks ?

I would like to install FUSE support for OWFS.

Thanks

Laurent

echo "-fuse" >> /etc/portage/profile/use.mask
and give it a try :) I think a lot of useflags are masked due to simple lack of testing
on the target arch. I unmasked a LOT on my MIPS builds an didn't notice any breakages, and ARM should be in much better shape than MIPS.

destroyedlolo,

If it works, file a bug describing what you did. Especially the testing.

destroyedlolo,

Say that on the bug - then its enough.
Others may test other fs after you and add to your bug.

Hum, sporadically, /var/lib/owfs/mnt misses all probes (directories 28.*).

After some test, it looks to me it purges all probes when no query is made for a long time.

Can someone confirm if it is normal or not ?

I found nothing in the documentation but I fall on old 2009 discussion about that : it seems normal, probes are purged after a while.

So, up to now, no issue :)

Hello,

So it's working now on 24/7 mode without a glitch ... time to create the BR.
Which category I have to use ?

I'm thinking about "Gentoo/Alt" then "Other", right ?

Bye

Laurent

ps : I'm out for 1 week but will do it at my return

I created the BR to request fuse enabling.

By the way, regarding owfs itself, the tool is working pretty well as said, but there are some issues with start/stop script and I created a BR as well for that.
