I have been happily using my Audioengine D1 USB DAC for a couple of years now, but a recent kernel upgrade has caused it to fail to be probed, and I get the following dmsg output:

Code:
[19203.114906] usb 7-1: new full-speed USB device number 6 using uhci_hcd
[19203.551440] usb 7-1: New USB device found, idVendor=2912, idProduct=30c8

To my knowledge, I have not changed anything in my kernel settings. lsusb shows a device, but it, too, fails to probe it:

Code:

Does anyone have any knowledge of a regression in the 4 series of kernel? I can't seem to find anything specific.

Thanks!

I don't have any fixes, but for what it's worth, the d1 works in 4.1.6 ...

Can you compare the .config files for the new kernel vs. the old one?

Thanks! I just updated to 4.1.6 and it works fine again. :-)
