Hi,
Running Gentoo Prefix on macOS 10.12.1.
Does anyone know why whois is blocked in portage? I am trying to replace Macports with Gentoo Prefix, but I just can't do without some tools. One issue being whois
* net-misc/whois [ Masked ]
Latest version available: 5.2.13
Latest version installed: [ Not Installed ]
Size of files: 81 KiB
Homepage: http://www.linux.it/~md/software/
Description: improved Whois Client
License: GPL-2
Thanks! |

It's probably masked because it's not been tested - not enough testers for all packages.
5.2.13 is masked for all arch at the moment including ~amd64/~x86, I don't think anyone even thought about x86-macos or amd64-macos.
You could try:
echo "=net-misc/whois-5.2.13 **" >> /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
What am I supposed watching? |
