I have an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ on an Abit KV8-Max3 motherboard that has an onboard 3com 3c940 network card.
Each time I boot from the cd it tells me it cannot find any network cards and drops me to a command prompt.
I've searched and found that I need to load a sk98lin driver (I think), but being a N00b I'm not sure how to load that after it drops me to a command prompt, let alone how to restart the installation without rebooting.
Anyone?

I have the same motherboard and just got it installed over the weekend. sk98lin is the correct driver. You just have to do:
modprobe sk98lin
and it will load the driver. You then have to start networking with:
/etc/init.d/net.eth0 start
or something like that (not sure about the net.eth0 part, but it has eth0 in it).

Where do i get a sata raid driver for Silicon Image 3114? I have kernel 2.4.2. |

| yeah, the 3com 940c NIC cant be autodetected, windows cant find it either, so you have to manually modprobe the sk98lin module |

errr...why, again, are you using the 2.4 kernel? Last I check this was not recommended... |
