If you got a new AMD Ryzen 2400G or 2200G, but your display is unusable (the 4 quadrant artifacts issue) the DRM fixes *finally* made it into upstream on the 11th. I had been trying various patches, trees, and manually changing values in the source... but I can finally watch UHD movies with this now 
# emerge -atv =sys-kernel/git-sources-4.16_rc5
I am unaware than any of the DRM patches have been back ported to any other kernel. Good luck! |
