With hope none would assume it as spam, can you name what is your vendor with such cool policy. |

I used two vendors for most of the parts. Both have a 30-day return on most items. (Including CPU, mainboard, and memory.) B&H PhotoVideo in NY and NewEgg in CA. I have been very pleased with both vendors over several years of purchases from them.

Without overclocking except for memory XMP profile to 2666 MHz, the Libreoffice package takes 17 min. to emerge and chromium takes just under 61 min.
The system seems to work well with one exception: There seems to be some lag / unresponsiveness in the desktop. I plan to post about it in the Desktop forum. Edit: solved by changing the clocksource from tsc to hpet. |

Yes it was a hardware issue. The new system works now. (I GUESS it was the motherboard, but I replaced it, the cpu and memory. I considered replacing those items one at a time, but I would have exceeded the vendor's 30-day return policy.) |
