Success!
Code: | # squashmount list
* [portage]: overlay/squashfs (40m), modified, but will not resquash |
Code: | # pydf
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 233G 11G 219G 4.9 [########..................................................................................................
.................................................] /
overlay 233G 11G 219G 4.9 [########...................................................................................................
................................................] /usr/portage
/dev/loop0 56M 56M 0 100.0 [##################################################################################################
#########################################################] /usr/portage.mount/readonly |
Updating line 31 revealed another issue (~ line 25) with the word 'configuration' uncommented.
Thanks !!

pod is somewhat unpredictable where newlines are inserted. I do not know how to properly fix that on a pod manpage.. |

I recently went through the ~20 pages and debated splitting it then. Since there has been new activity, I went ahead and split it (~20 pages is a soft maximum, so it was going to happen eventually). I've also added comments to the old thread referencing this one.
mv, you are welcome to change the thread title to something else if you prefer. I mainly tried to reflect the generic capability differentiating it from previous portage only/primarily solutions. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

Just wondering:
Has anyone compared this solution with btrfs-zstd compression in terms of space savings and speed? The KISS principle speaks in favour of the latter if you anway use btrfs. So what are the trade-offs? |
