Hello,
I'm having a problem with libgd I think.
I have lidgd installed with all dependencies right:
media-libs/libgd
Latest version available: 2.0.1
Latest version installed: 2.0.1
Homepage: http://www.boutell.com/gd/
Description: A graphics library for fast image creation
When emerging net-analyzer/mrtg, or app-admin/analog I get the following errors:
analog:
...

** The GD library is required for rateup to compile.
Get it from http://www.boutell.com, compile it and
use either --with-gd-lib=DIR and --with-gd-inc=DIR to specify
its location. You might also have to use --with-z-inc, --with-z-lib
and --with-png-inc, --with-png-lib for gd versions 1.6 and higher.
Check config.log for more information on the problem. If your system
has libgd installed, you probably mis the gd.h header file.
Consider following the instructions in doc/unix-guide.txt
!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 1, Exitcode 1
!!! (no error message)
I checked, but I have a "gd.h" file in /usr/include.
My USE flags:
I've read the Gentoo Guide to USE flags, but I don't think anything is wrong with them.
USE="x86 -oss -3dnow apm -arts avi berkdb crypt -cups encode gdbm gif gpm -gtk imlib java jpeg -kde libg++ libwww mikmod mmx -motif mpeg ncurses nls oggvorbis -opengl pam pdflib png python -qt -qtmt quicktime readline -sdl slang spell ssl svga tcpd truetype -X xml2 -xmms xv"
I use this system as a server, so no X, etc...
If someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong...
Thanks in advance,
Johan Braeken. _________________ This signature is under construction... |

Try adding 'gd' to your USE flags. _________________ Gentoo:

I added "gd" to my use flags, but nothing really happened.
I still can't emerge analog and mrtg.
I even did "emerge -e world" with that "gd" flag and after that, I was still not able to install them.
The error messages are the same.
Do I have something wrong in my USE flags, or is there another problem?
I really don't know what te problem is.
Kind regards,
Johan. _________________ This signature is under construction... |

I'm having the exact same issue, I've checked through my USE settings and all looks good, libgd appears to install without problems, but when I emerge mrtg, it bombs with the same error message as above.
It looks like a bug report has already been filed.
