Ich kann die Oberfläche unter normalen Nutzer nicht starten, wenn ich root bin ist es kein Problem.

Hi,
kann es sein, dass dein Benutzer, unter welchem du X starten willst, nicht in der "video" Gruppe ist. Falls nicht, kannst du ihn wie folgt hinzufügen:

Diesen Befehl muss du mit root Rechten ausführen.

In Gruppe Video ist mein Benutzer drin.
Ich habe jetzt erst mal temporär ein Displaymanager installiert und aktiviert, damit startet die graphische Oberfläche erst mal wieder.
Den Fehler möchte ich aber noch finden. |

| Poste doch mal die Ausgabe von 'emerge --info'. Vielleicht sehen wir dort schon etwas. Zumindest erzählt es uns mehr über Dein System. |

Ich habe den sddm als login Manager eingerichtet und ihn mit dem Befehl rc-update, dass er beim booten startet, eingetragen. Wird der dann von root gestartet?
Jedenfalls melde ich mich anschließend an und meine graphische Oberfläche (fluxbox) startet ganz normal. |

Um X mittels startx zu starten, muss dein Nutzer in der tty Gruppe sein.

Ich gucke noch mal drauf, Danke. Ich habe schon vor einiger Zeit die Migration vollzogen. Seither gab es schon einige reboots ohne Probleme bis zum letzten Sonntag. |
