I have an latitude 3570 it has

...

it occasionally is usable. i have seen it work but usually it fails. i think i have all the necessary kernel components active (y not m) and the proper software.
any advice is appreciated . _________________

Change the support back to 'M'. On my MSI G63 the card reader only works when the module is loaded after inserting a card. In your case, I'm guessing you rebooted at least once with a card inserted and the reader worked. I haven't found a way to twiddle the loaded driver to make it recognize a card event so unloading the module and reloading it is the way. |
